The MX-10E is the same 1.0 ton machine as our MX-10, with the diesel engine replaced by a 48 V lithium-ion pack and an electric drive motor. It exists for one reason: work where a combustion engine cannot go. Indoor strip-outs, basement digs, plant rooms, hospital and school grounds, and any site with a noise restriction on early or evening working.
Performance matches the diesel machine on the numbers that decide whether a job is possible: 5 ft 9 in. dig depth, 12 ft 1 in. reach at ground level and the same retractable undercarriage that narrows to 27.6 in. for a gateway. What differs is endurance and refuelling. The 8.5 kWh pack covers roughly 4 – 6 hours of mixed digging – less under continuous heavy load, more on light grading – and a full charge takes about 6 hours from a 240 V, 20 A supply. It is the right machine for confined and restricted work, not for a full day of continuous digging away from power.
Before you order, check your power. The supplied charger needs a 240 V, 20 A circuit on a NEMA 6-20 outlet; an adapter for a NEMA 14-50 range outlet is included. A standard 120 V household socket will not charge it.

Attachment fitment
Its pin is 1.57 in. (40 mm) and the ears are 5.9 in. (150 mm) apart. Every attachment in our Excavator Attachments collection ships with a pin and bush kit that covers 40 – 50 mm pins and 150 – 200 mm ears, so the bucket, thumb, ripper and quick coupler all pin straight on. The 12 in. auger drive needs 8 – 16 gpm and this machine has 5.3 gpm, so it will not turn it.
Warranty and support
The warranty that applies is the manufacturer’s written warranty supplied with the machine, and the battery pack is warranted separately. Ask us before you order and we will send you both sets of terms – period, what is covered and what is not – in writing. Looking after it: charge the pack before it is fully flat rather than after, store it indoors between 40 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit, and keep the charging port cover closed and the contacts dry. Grease the pins daily exactly as you would on the diesel machine.
This machine ships free to any address in the 48 contiguous states on a freight carrier: a flatbed or drop-deck truck, unloaded down ramps at the curbside with you or your driver present. Dispatch takes 1 – 2 business days and transit a further 3 – 6. Unused machines can be returned within 30 days of delivery.
